The Del Mar Classic - November 7-9, 2008

The Del Mar Classic received approval from both FEI and USEF as an International Level Event (CDI***WYJ). This approval means we can offer this competition as a 2009 World Cup Qualifier as well as 2009 USEF National Grand Prix, Intermediare I, Brentina Cup and Developing Horse Championships. This also qualifies competitors for the 2009 Markel Young Horse National Championships.

It boasts three days of top level competition with competitors coming from all over the Western Region and Canada.

The Del Mar Classic provides an exceptional competitive experience that rivals Dressage Affaire and provides a date early in the competition season for riders so that they are able to qualify for the year but not over-show their horse in the high season.

The Classic typically enjoys very strong representation from West Coast Olympic riders such as Debbie McDonald, Hilda Gurney, Guenter Seidel, Steffen Peters, Sue Blinks, Leslie Morse and Charlotte Bredahl. The opportunity to watch, ride with and compete against world-class talent underscores the unique dressage experience that marks The Del Mar Classic.

This 2nd Annual competition on the KP Events calendar will be staged at the beautiful and well-managed Del Mar Horsepark. Now customary to KP Events shows, the personal and quality attention to detail will be supplemented by complimentary daily parties in the courtyard and VIP Tent area.
